As the soundtrack of the world is changing, Eco Voices gives a voice to the voiceless.

“We are Nature, long have we been absent, but now we return” ~ Walt Whitman

Honouring the voices of nature,

Listening and learning from the wisdom of the Earth.
Moving forward with action and purpose.

The world is in a state of environmental and social crisis. It is yearning for people to step into their full unique selves and come together for a collaborative response.

EcoVoices evolved out of the acknowledgement of this reality driving Karina to travel the East Coast of Australia through out 2018 advocating for species being affected by this crisis, celebrating those who are safe guarding our future by their commitment to their work and providing workshops to inspire people into action.

Now home Karina is continuing this project to provide a voice to the voiceless by capturing stories of species being affected by climate change and habitat destruction. This project aims to deepen people’s connection to each other and the world.

If you have a species that you are working with or connected you are invited to contact karinacdonkers@gmail.com so we can capture the stories of connection. To follow the stories on instagram @eco.voices

EcoVoices invites people to be a part of writing a new story- one that honours all voices.

it’s 3:23 in the morning
and I’m awake
because my great great grandchildren
won’t let me sleep
my great great grandchildren
ask me in dreams
what did you do while the planet was plundered?
what did you do when the earth was unraveling?
surely you did something
when the seasons started failing?
as the mammals, reptiles, birds were all dying?
did you fill the streets with protest
when democracy was stolen?
what did you do
once
you
knew?

TESTIMONIALS

Karina is a passionate young woman with a message to share – that the wild world is under threat and we can be a voice for the voiceless. More than that, that our lives can be made so much the richer through opening to conversation with nature. This project EcoVoices is a powerful and brave offering.

Karina’s work really helps to visit those places deep within that go beyond the ‘me’ story and connect more with the ‘us’. And gives some clarity around the importance of this time, this time in history where you and I are blessed to be, a turning point, an unravelling. And how we navigate this is going to have critical consequences for the generations who follow us. Karinas work has helped me stand stronger in what I believe in. Karina came to Newcastle in 2018 to share “the work that reconnects” on her eco-voices tour and I hope she comes back. She is a beautiful, open hearted, centred, wise and passionate being.'
